Vakkert Norge -- Beautiful Norway

You may ask me what my favourite country in Europe is. My immediate answer is NORWAY, of course! The first time I went there, I fell in love with the beautiful land. It was a breath-taking experience, a love story between the creature and the land. One becomes thankful for so-called "life-hazardous", but alas, low-cost flights with Ryanair, for I am absolutely craving to go back. It is the land calling me back, it feels like a vaccum suctioning me back. “And what's so special about this land?”, you may ask again. It's basically three things: the scenery, the language and the people, everything mingling together into a beautiful, vakkert combination. “Vakkert” is norwegian for beautiful; every time I want to say the word in Catalan, this scandinavic stranger invades my mind.
I suppose most of you have seen pictures from Norway, so you may have noticed the artist touch of the Creator. The car stops, you climb out to gaze in awe. Or you may have a walk with somebody who knows every secret path along the seaside (are you reading, Kristoffer?), and enjoy the magic of everything. Since a picture is known to be worth a thousand words, you have seen a few above.
Norwegian is one of the languages I've enjoyed learning the most (actually, I'm not even halfways there yet). You can go to http://www.mikesradioworld.com/, click on Europe, then Norway, and just listen to its tonality, just hear them sing, go up a note every time they finish a sentence. Not at all like Danish, mind you.
And the family I know is the best of it. Ok, you can enjoy a couple of trees and bushes by yourself, but what's better than some warm company, some good friends? Plus the scenery, of course (just can't keep my mind off it)! A few pics of Norway and... the Nordmennene as well (I got their permission :p ).
My good friends in vakkert Norge... see you soon!! Thank you for reading this, everybody!

  7. Merci Adassa!

    Records!!!

  13. "you have become so fat", Lara. I don't mean YOU have become fat, I mean that's my answer to your question "What does 'Nei, så tjukk du har blitt' mean?" HAHA!! nei=no, så=so, tjukk=fat, du=you, har=have, blitt=become. LITERALLY: "No, so fat you have become!"
